Details: Fedorov's team stated that the trip is related to projects in the field of defence technologies.
Quote: "The main purpose of the trip, which is potentially being planned, is related to attracting resources for new projects in the field of defence tech."
Details: The press service clarified that the visit does not include meetings with American politicians or officials.
The Kyiv Independent earlier reported that Fedorov may fly to the US as early as next week.
Meanwhile, the British newspaper The Guardian suggested that the trip is related to efforts to secure Washington's support for holding elections in Ukraine.
Background:
- In a public address on 18 August, Fedorov called for not allowing Russia to determine when Ukrainians can once again elect their government.
- In March 2026, Zelenskyy stated that elections "will take place after the end of the war, not during a temporary ceasefire".
