Ex-defence minister Fedorov plans trip to US, no meetings with politicians scheduled – Suspilne

Former defence minister of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov is planning a trip to the United States in the near future; his team says it is not related to political meetings.

Details: Fedorov's team stated that the trip is related to projects in the field of defence technologies.

Details: The press service clarified that the visit does not include meetings with American politicians or officials.

The Kyiv Independent earlier reported that Fedorov may fly to the US as early as next week.

Meanwhile, the British newspaper The Guardian suggested that the trip is related to efforts to secure Washington's support for holding elections in Ukraine.

Background:

In a public address on 18 August, Fedorov called for not allowing Russia to determine when Ukrainians can once again elect their government.
