Russia attacks Ukraine with 150 drones and two missiles overnight, air defence destroys 124 UAVs

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 150 drones, including jet-powered Shaheds, as well as an Iskander-M ballistic missile and a Kh-31P air-to-surface missile on the night of 24-25 August.

Details: The Russians launched the Iskander-M ballistic missile from Russia's Rostov Oblast, while the Kh-31P air-to-surface missile was fired from Bryansk Oblast.
The 150 Shahed drones (some jet-powered), Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
The attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
Quote: "As of 09:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 124 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.
Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 17 locations, and downed aerial assets (debris) fell at seven locations."
Details: The Ukrainian Air Force stressed that as of 09:00 the attack is still ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
