Ukrainian parliament clarifies whether women will be mobilised

Ukraine is currently neither considering nor preparing to mobilise women into the military.

Details: The committee stressed that there are currently no legislative initiatives or draft laws concerning the mobilisation of women, nor are there any internal discussions on the issue.

At present, Ukrainian women join the defence forces solely on a voluntary basis.

"Statements by individual speakers who publicly speculate on this issue do not reflect the actual legislative work or the position of the Committee.

We urge people not to fall for manipulation and to rely only on official sources of information," the parliamentary committee said.
