NATO Military Committee to discuss support for Ukraine in Denmark on 18-19 September
The NATO Military Committee, the alliance's highest military body, will meet at the chiefs of defence level in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 18-19 September to discuss follow-up measures from the NATO summit in Ankara, including further military support for Ukraine.

Details: The NATO Military Committee will discuss support for Ukraine at a chiefs of defence-level conference on 18-19 September in Copenhagen.
"NATO's highest military authority, the Military Committee, will meet at the chiefs of defence level from 18 to 19 September 2026, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Chair of the Military Committee (CMC), Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, will preside the meeting," NATO said.
The meeting will also be attended by Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Grynkewich and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Admiral Pierre Vandier.
"Together, NATO's senior military leadership will reflect on the follow up from the NATO summit in Ankara, in particular by addressing the further strengthening of the alliance's collective deterrence and defence, innovation and technology, support for Ukraine," NATO's press service said.
Background:
- At the Ankara summit, NATO member state leaders agreed that the alliance would provide Ukraine with at least €140 billion in military support over 2026-2027.
- In particular, Germany's contribution to the two-year support package for Ukraine agreed at the NATO summit in Ankara will amount to around €23 billion, allocated in the federal budgets for 2026 and 2027 for military assistance to Ukraine.
- During the public part of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the NATO summit on 8 July, Trump said that the United States would grant Ukraine the right to manufacture Patriot systems.
