Drone debris found at Romanian Black Sea resort

Debris from an unidentified drone was found on a beach in Olimp in Romania's Constanța county on the morning of 26 August.

Details: Several people spotted the drone wreckage washed up on the beach in Olimp. They reported their find to the authorities.

Specialised personnel arrived at the scene to analyse the object. Tourist access to the area was temporarily restricted for security reasons.

More drone debris was found near a casino in Constanța on the evening of 25 August.

The object had been carried in by the sea between the breakwaters near the promenade. It was spotted by people walking in the area, who reported it to the authorities.

Law enforcement officers recovered the object. It most likely did not contain an explosive charge.

Investigators are to determine the origin of the two objects found on the Black Sea coast.
