Drone operators from the 429th Separate Achilles Unmanned Systems Brigade have struck a Russian Nebo-U radar system at the Millerovo airfield in Rostov Oblast.

Details: The attack was carried out by the brigade's long-range strike unit 170 km from the line of contact. The Russian military uses the Millerovo airfield to launch Shahed-type drones and other types of attack and decoy drones.
"This site is used to inflict aerial terror on the eastern, central and northern regions of Ukraine," the brigade explained.
The strike on the radar was carried out with a Ukrainian RAM-2X kamikaze drone.
The Russian Nebo-U three-coordinate VHF-band radar station is designed to detect and track aerial assets, including aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. The antenna height is 43 metres, and the radar's pulse power is 500 kW (average power 5 kW). The cost of the Nebo-U is estimated at US$100 million.
According to the brigade, the loss of the radar means that Russian forces will be unable to detect aerial assets in a timely manner within the station's operational zone.
