Three killed in Russian strike on participants in running race in Kharkiv Oblast
Russian forces have launched a missile strike on participants in a running race in Kharkiv Oblast. Three people are currently known to have been killed.

Details: On 29 August, at around 09:30, Russian troops launched a missile strike, reportedly using an Iskander-M system, on a settlement where the event was taking place in honour of fallen Ukrainian heroes. Three people were killed in the Russian attack.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 367.3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence resulting in loss of life.
Law enforcement officers are currently gathering the necessary evidence and assessing the actions of those responsible.
Background: On the night of 21-22 August, the training base of Chornomorets football club in the settlement of Sovinion in Odesa Oblast sustained significant damage as a result of a Russian attack.
