Moldova again records airspace violation during Russian attack on Ukraine

An aircraft violated Moldova's airspace from the direction of Ukraine on 30 August.

Details: The asset, detected by the National Army's Air Operations Service, crossed Moldova's border near the city of Dnistrovsk in the Transnistrian region from the Lyman district of Ukraine's Odesa Oblast. The incident occurred at 15:50.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the aircraft returned to Ukraine via the same route 10 minutes later.

"The unauthorised overflight of our country's airspace occurred following today's Russian aerial attacks on Ukraine. National authorities, together with partners, continue to monitor the airspace to ensure the safety of the population," the Ministry of Defence stated.

Background:
