PepsiCo reports damage to its production facility in Mykolaiv Oblast after Russian attack – photos

PepsiCo has reported damage to its production facility in Mykolaiv Oblast on 29 August following a Russian attack. The company stated that no one was injured.

For reference: PepsiCo produces soft drinks, juices, chips, snacks, dairy products and other food products under the main brands Chester's, Chipsy, Lay's, Mirinda, Pasta Roni, Pepsi, Propel, Sandora, 7up, Simba, Snack a Jacks, Sonric's, Tropicana, Agusha, Chudo ["Miracle"], Slovianochka ["Slavic girl"], Sadochok ["Garden"], Sandoryk, Mashenka, etc.

Three PepsiCo facilities operate in Ukraine: two plants in Mykolaiv Oblast and one in Kyiv Oblast.

In 2022, PepsiCo made headlines as a company "leaving Russia". The corporation announced at the time that it would cease advertising and production of certain beverages in the country. However, instead of leaving, the company continued to offer renamed versions of its drinks and subsequently even expanded its presence in Russia by opening a new snack production plant. In 2023, its subsidiary Wimm-Bill-Dann increased its profit 2.6-fold, while the group's total sales grew by 26% to US$4.7 billion.
