Russian forces attack energy infrastructure in six Ukrainian oblasts

New power outages have been recorded in six oblasts of Ukraine as a result of a large-scale Russian strike on the morning of 31 August.

Details: The affected oblasts are Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv.

"Emergency repair work is already underway wherever security conditions currently permit. Energy workers are doing everything possible to bring power back to all consumers as quickly as possible," the statement reads.

Electricity consumption is stable. As of 09:30 on 31 August, consumption was at the same level as the previous working day.

Energy workers are asking consumers to shift active electricity use to between 10:00 and 16:00 and to conserve electricity between 18:00 and 22:00.

Background: On 29 August, following a morning attack by Russian Shahed drones, more than 300,000 subscribers in Mykolaiv Oblast were left without electricity.
