Russian forces attack supermarket chain warehouse in Kyiv Oblast

Russian forces have attacked a warehouse belonging to the Varus supermarket chain in Kyiv Oblast, causing significant damage to the premises and destroying goods.

Quote: "The VARUS warehouse in Kyiv Oblast was attacked again on the night of 30-31 August. Most importantly, everyone is alive and none of our employees was injured."

Details: The company said the attack caused significant losses. A large quantity of goods was damaged or destroyed. As a result, delays in deliveries and temporary shortages of some items on shop shelves may occur in the near future.

Quote: "We are already doing everything possible to restore supplies as quickly as possible and provide our shops with the necessary range of products.

We also sincerely sympathise with our partners whose goods were stored at warehouse sites next to ours and were also damaged in the attack."

More details: Despite this, all shops are currently open and operating as usual, the company said.
