General Staff: Ukrainian forces strike UAV launch sites in occupied Donetsk and Crimea

Over the course of 31 August and on the night of 31 August-1 September, Ukraine's defence forces struck a number of Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia.

Details: According to the General Staff, facilities used to store, prepare and launch strike UAVs were hit in Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

A Russian communications hub was struck in Myrne in occupied Crimea, while a command and observation post was hit in Polohy in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

An area where Russian military equipment was concentrated was struck in Verkhnokamianka in Luhansk Oblast, while a fuel and lubricants depot was hit in Borisovka in Russia's Belgorod Oblast.

Analysis of additional data has confirmed that a UAV launcher and storage site near Tsymbulova in Russia's Oryol Oblast were struck on 30 August 2026.

Background: On the night of 29-30 August, Ukraine's defence forces struck the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia's Leningrad Oblast and the Yeysk airfield in Krasnodar Krai.
