Ukraine's defence forces destroy Russian Ka-27 helicopter and MiG-29 fighter jet – General Staff

Ukraine's defence forces destroyed a Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter near the Yeisk airfield on 30 August and a MiG-29 fighter jet near the Millerovo airfield belonging to the Russian forces on 27 August.

Quote: "Following an analysis of additional data, the destruction of a Ka-27 helicopter near the Yeisk airfield in Russia's Krasnodar Krai on 30 August 2026 has been confirmed."

Details: The military also confirmed the destruction of a MiG-29 aircraft near the Millerovo airfield in Russia's Rostov Oblast on 27 August 2026.

On 1 September and on the night of 1-2 September, units of Ukraine's defence forces also struck a number of military targets belonging to Russia, including an ammunition depot belonging to the Russian forces in Volodymyrivka, Donetsk Oblast, and a logistics depot of a Russian forces unit in Ocheretyne, Donetsk Oblast.

In addition, an area where Russian weapons and military equipment were concentrated was struck in Rechytsa, Bryansk Oblast, Russia. "The extent of damage caused is being confirmed," the statement said.
