Kyiv police hunt armed suspect after shooting – photos

A shooting occurred in Kyiv on the morning of 3 September, leaving at least one person injured. Law enforcement officers are searching for the armed suspect.

Quote: "Law enforcement received a report of a shooting in the Sviatoshynskyi district this morning. One person is currently known to have been injured and is receiving medical assistance. A special police operation is underway in the capital to detain the armed suspect."

Details: Police said personnel from the territorial and main police departments had been placed on alert. Officers from the KORD special forces unit have also been deployed to search for the suspect.

Police also released photos from the scene showing blood on the pavement and numerous spent cartridge cases.
