Details: A loud explosion and smoke were reported in the vicinity of the vessel.

The Ukrainian Navy explained that Nefrit is part of Russia's maritime and energy infrastructure. The vessel supported oil and gas operations, serviced offshore facilities, transported cargo and personnel, and carried out subsea engineering work.

The Navy said its activities directly supported Russia's war economy and helped finance its aggression against Ukraine.

The Krymsky Veter (Crimean Wind) Telegram channel also published a video clearly showing the vessel being struck.
