Fire breaks out at tobacco factory in Pryluky following Russian attack

A fire broke out at a tobacco factory in the city of Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast, following a Russian attack. The factory is part of the multinational corporation British American Tobacco.

Details: "A fire broke out at a tobacco factory in Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast, as a result of the Russian attack. Employees at the plant say the roof of the cigarette production facility is on fire. Firefighters are currently extinguishing the blaze," a Suspilne correspondent at the scene reported.

Eyewitnesses said that all employees were in a shelter at the time and no one was injured. One woman suffered an acute stress reaction and received medical assistance.

Background:

Assets belonging to Cargill, Coca-Cola, Boeing, Mondelez, Philip Morris, Flex and Bunge have been targeted. The attacks have intensified since the beginning of 2026, with facilities belonging to Bunge, Philip Morris and Mondelez hit within a four-week period.
• Forbes Ukraine estimated that Russia has destroyed 400,000 sq m of logistics facilities belonging to Ukrainian businesses, an area equivalent to 56 football pitches.
