Zelenskyy and first lady arrive in Norway for King Harald's funeral

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in Norway to attend the funeral of King Harald V and hold a series of meetings.

Details: Zelenskyy said that he had arrived in Norway with the First Lady and is due to meet Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre later this day.

"We will discuss continued support for Ukraine. The main issue is strengthening air defence and assistance in other areas that are important for getting through the winter. Naturally, Jonas and I will also meet with the companies developing the FREYJA anti-ballistic system. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.

"Tomorrow, on behalf of all our people, we will express our gratitude to Norway at the farewell ceremony for His Majesty King Harald V," he said.

Previously: King Harald V died on the morning of 28 August at the age of 89. He was Europe's oldest monarch. Following his death, his son Haakon VIII became king.

Background: On 13 July in Paris, the Anti-Ballistic Coalition began work on a European missile defence system.
