Russian strikes leave five Ukrainian oblasts partially without power

Some consumers in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv oblasts are temporarily without electricity as of the morning of 9 September.

Details: In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian drone attacked a service vehicle carrying energy workers who were travelling to restore power in a . No one was injured.

Consumers are asked to shift active electricity use to between 10:00 and 15:00 and not to use high-power appliances between 18:00 and 22:00.

Background: Since the evening of 8 September, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S8000 Banderol loitering munitions and 196 drones of various types. Ukrainian air defence has destroyed 165 drones, but some hits have been recorded.
