Russians execute two captured Ukrainian National Guardsmen in Donetsk Oblast

Russian forces have executed two captured Ukrainian National Guard personnel near the town of Dobropillia in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: On 2 September, two service members of the National Guard of Ukraine were at a firing position in a forest belt near Dobropillia. Investigators say the Ukrainian defenders, who were carrying out a combat mission, were captured by Russian forces. Members of the Russian Armed Forces later executed them, shooting them with automatic weapons.
Urgent investigative and search actions are now under way to establish all the circumstances of the incident and identify the Russian service members involved in committing the crime.

Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office launched a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings over the commission of a war crime resulting in death under Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts."
