Zelenskyy appoints commander of Armed Forces' Communications and Cybersecurity Forces

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksii Kovalenko commander of the Communications and Cybersecurity Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Quote: "Oleksii Oleksandrovych Kovalenko shall be appointed commander of the Communications and Cybersecurity Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
Background:
- In August, Zelenskyy signed a decree introducing the Day of the Communications and Cybersecurity Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to be marked annually on 8 August.
- The decree dated 1 February 2000 No. 154/2000 On the Day of Communications Forces thereby ceased to be in force.
