Polish foreign minister on Russian threat to destroy Poland in 2-3 days: Ukraine has shown it is difficult

Responding to a threat by Nikolai Patrushev, an aide to the Russian ruler, to destroy Poland in two to three days, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski noted that Poles have been hearing such threats for 20 years.

Details: Sikorski noted that Russian generals "have been threatening us with nuclear war for 20 years", while "Kremlin propagandists do it continuously".

"The Soviet, and now Russian, comrades should realise the balance of forces. They should also understand what they are getting themselves into when they threaten us," the Polish minister said.

He pointed out that Russia does indeed have an advantage in nuclear weapons, but the Russia-Ukraine war has shown that this advantage is difficult to use.

Quote: "But, as it [Russia – ed.] has seen from the example of Ukraine, this advantage is difficult to use. If Russia could resolve this war through nuclear blackmail, it would have already done so."
