Poll gauges Zelenskyy's approval after anti-corruption investigations
A poll conducted following investigations by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) has found that 54% of Ukrainians said they trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, compared with 41% who said they do not. This gives him a trust balance of +13 percentage points.

Quote: "The field phase of this survey began immediately after the NABU and SAPO investigation Forrest Gump, which resulted in the dismissal of Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the President's Office. About half of the interviews were conducted from 4 September onwards, after the new Carthage investigation into the Prosecutor General's Office, but the survey did not cover any further developments after 14 September, when former prosecutor general [Ruslan Kravchenko] attempted to move against NABU and SAPO."
Details: Of the 54% who trust Zelenskyy, 18% said they trust him "completely", while 36% said they somewhat trust him. Among those who do not trust Zelenskyy, 25% said they do not trust him "at all", while 16% said they somewhat distrust him.
For reference: The nationwide KIIS survey was conducted from 21 August to 10 September 2026 using a random sample of mobile phone numbers across all oblasts of Ukraine in the government-controlled territories. A total of 1,003 respondents were interviewed.
The survey covered Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and over who were living in government-controlled territory at the time of the poll.
Under normal conditions, the margin of error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.3) did not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50%, 3.5% for indicators close to 25%, 2.5% for indicators close to 10%, 1.8% for indicators close to 5%.
KIIS noted that, under wartime conditions, some additional systematic bias may also affect the results.
