Russia has attacked shut-down Zaporizhzhia Steelworks for fourth time in a month: one injured – photos

Russia attacked the shut-down Zaporizhstal (Zaporizhzhia Steelworks), a major iron and steel manufacturing plant in the city of Zaporizhzhia, with two ballistic missiles on the morning of 17 September. One employee has been taken to hospital. Production equipment and railway infrastructure have been significantly damaged.

Details: Metinvest said the employee was unable to reach shelter in time. He was freed from under the rubble and taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds and concussion. There were no fatalities.

The strike damaged the main and auxiliary equipment, workshop buildings and railway infrastructure. Workers at the steelworks are clearing the rubble and assessing the damage.

This was the fourth attack on Zaporizhstal since August. According to Metinvest's estimates, Russia has launched a total of 17 ballistic missiles at the steelworks during this period.
