Ukrainian military intelligence tests locally made quad bikes with remote-control capability – video
Fighters from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) have conducted closed tests of Ukrainian-made quad bikes, particularly models with remote-control capability.

Details: The testing was conducted by soldiers from the 33 Group unit within DIU's Tymur Special Operations Unit. The soldiers tested the quad bikes themselves to provide manufacturers with detailed feedback for further improvements, the cluster explained.
"The vehicles were assessed against a number of criteria that are priorities on the front line. Importantly, the soldiers did not simply observe the tests, but piloted the vehicles themselves and provided constructive feedback immediately," Brave1 said.
Ahead of winter, the soldiers need quad bikes that can operate both under conventional and remote control to carry out logistics operations on the front line, the cluster explained.
Ukrainian troops also use foreign-made quad bikes, but they are expensive and are not equipped with remote-control capabilities. Meanwhile, the state cluster has added quad bikes with unmanned-control capabilities to a new grant programme for Ukrainian manufacturers.

Background: In April 2026, the Ukrainian government simplified the procurement and supply of vehicles for the defence forces, including pickup trucks, motorcycles and quad bikes.
