OSINT analysts show Russian aircraft hit after Ukraine's Security Service attack on Rostov – photos

Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysts from the CyberBoroshno project have posted satellite images of Russian Mi-8 helicopters and An-12 and An-26 aircraft targeted by Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) operatives at an air base in Rostov on the night of 16-17 September. The images confirm the complete destruction of four aircraft.

Details: The images show two helicopters and two aircraft that were hit.

"As a result of the attack on Rostov-on-Don North air base, the complete destruction of two Mi-8 helicopters, an An-12 and an An-26 was recorded," CyberBoroshno explained.

Background:

• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that SSU units had conducted an operation on the night of 16-17 September and hit six Russian aircraft at the air base in Rostov, including an An-12 aircraft, two An-26s and three helicopters.
• The SSU also confirmed the information, saying that the operation targeted transport aircraft and a helicopter parking area and that secondary detonations were recorded following the strikes.
• Earlier, it was reported that three production buildings at the Atlant Aero facility in Taganrog in Russia had been completely destroyed in a Ukrainian Neptune missile strike. The consequences of the attack were documented by the Ukrainian OSINT project Exilenova+.
