Drones attacked the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Russia's Samara Oblast on the night of 21-22 September, causing a large fire at the facility.

Details: Local residents said on social media that explosions were heard near the facility overnight, preceded by the characteristic sound of drones flying overhead.
Videos shared online show a large fire and a thick column of smoke rising over the refinery.
The regional authorities and emergency services have not yet commented on the consequences of the attack.
Kuibyshev Oil Refinery JSC is located in the Kuibyshevsky district of the city of Samara and belongs to Rosneft PJSC, Russia's state-controlled oil giant.
The refinery produces a wide range of petroleum products, including petrol and diesel, aviation fuel, fuel oil and bitumen.
The refinery is one of the largest in the Volga region, with a capacity to process around seven million tonnes of crude oil per year. Its petroleum products are also used to meet the needs of Russia's occupying forces.
Background:
- The Kuibyshev refinery previously temporarily suspended operations following attacks that damaged its primary oil distillation units.
