Death toll from Russian attack on Kyiv rises to two, 25 people injured

Two people have been reported killed and the number injured has risen to 25 following Russia's attack on Kyiv on 23 September.

Quote: "Two people are now known to have been killed in the enemy attack on the capital. One man died in hospital and the other was killed instantly."

Details: Klitschko said 16 of the 22 people injured are being treated in Kyiv hospitals.

Update: The mayor later reported that the number of people injured has risen to 25. Seventeen of them are in hospital.

Background:

• It was previously reported that one person had been killed and seven injured as a result of the Russian drone attack on Kyiv.
• A Russian drone hit a shop in the Solomianskyi district. Klitschko also reported that a UAV had crashed into a nine-storey non-residential building at the third-floor level.
• In the Holosiivskyi district, a drone crashed at the site of a transport infrastructure facility and onto the roof of a non-residential building.
