Death toll from Russian attack on Kyiv rises to two, 25 people injured

Two people have been killed and the number of those injured has risen to 25 following the Russian attack on Kyiv on 23 September.

Quote: "Two people are now known to have been injured due to the enemy attack on the capital. One man died in hospital and another was killed instantly."

Details: According to Klitschko, 16 out of the 22 people injured are being treated in Kyiv hospitals.

Update: The mayor later wrote that the number of people injured has risen to 25. Seventeen of them are in hospital.

Background:

• It was previously reported that one person had been killed and seven injured as a result of the Russian drone attack on Kyiv.
• A Russian drone landed on a shop in the Solomianskyi district. Klitschko also reported a UAV crashing on a nine-storey non-residential building at the third-floor level.
• In the Holosiivskyi district, a drone landed on the premises of a transport infrastructure facility and on the roof of a non-residential building.
