Russia strikes Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant again

Russian forces have struck the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv. No casualties have been reported.

Details: "We can confirm that there are no fatalities among the employees," Zahorii wrote.

"For safety reasons and until the relevant services have completed their work, we cannot comment on the nature of the damage or its consequences," she added.

Ekonomichna Pravda has learned that one building was destroyed.

"One building has been destroyed, but there will still be medicines," Zahorii said.

Background:

• On the night of 27-28 June, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Kyiv, damaging a site belonging to Darnytsia, one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• A Russian attack on 3 September damaged the Biocon logistics complex in the Boryspil district in Kyiv Oblast, one of the country's largest specialised pharmaceutical warehouses.
• It was previously reported that demand for some medicines has risen in parts of Ukraine, reducing pharmacies' stocks, which in some cases could only last two to three weeks.
• Edem Adamanov, Head of the Health Ministry's State Expert Centre, said Russian attacks on pharmaceutical warehouses have not caused a shortage of medicines in Ukraine and that pharmacy chains have sufficient supplies for one to two months.
