Ukrainian telecom providers gradually restore services after Russian attacks

Telecommunications providers whose networks experienced temporary disruptions have reported that emergency repair work is gradually nearing completion.

The commission had earlier warned that Russian attacks on telecommunications infrastructure could cause temporary network outages and disrupt access to communications services.

Repair work began on 23 September. Emergency restoration efforts produced results in less than 24 hours.

Background: A Russian attack on 23 September damaged one of Kyiv's data centres housing the core equipment of the Utels internet service provider.
