Ukraine develops ground robot for operations behind Russian lines – video, photo
The Ukrainian military has developed the Desantnyk ground robotic system and a system for dropping it from a heavy bomber drone.

Details: The ground robotic system was created by fighters from the Alter Ego Battalion of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade. The technology allows the ground robot to be deployed tens of kilometres from the line of contact using an unmanned aerial vehicle.
"Systems in which one drone delivers another to an area of operations are called marsupials. Similar solutions were developed in the US more than 30 years ago, but were never brought into combat use," the cluster explained.
In addition to the Desantnyk ground robotic system, the unit also developed a solution for dropping it accurately from a bomber drone. According to Brave1, just 10 days passed from the idea to its combat deployment.
"The Desantnyk already has confirmed strikes to its name. In particular, enemy shelters and personnel have been destroyed," the press service said.

The defence cluster has now helped the military find a manufacturer so that the Desantnyk can move from prototypes to mass production.
