Romania scrambled fighter jets in response to an aerial asset that flew near the country's border on the night of 25-26 September.

Details: Romania's radar surveillance system detected an aerial asset flying near the town of Vylkove in Odesa Oblast, close to the Romanian border.

An alert was subsequently issued to residents in the northern part of Romania's Tulcea County, while two F-18 fighter jets were scrambled to monitor the situation.

The all-clear was announced at 01:30. No incursions into Romanian airspace were reported.
