Zelenskyy: 14 injured and 2 killed in Russian overnight attacks

Two people were killed in Zaporizhzhia and fourteen people were injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine on the night of 25-26 September.

Details: Zelenskyy said Russian forces struck residential buildings in the cities of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia, as well as in Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.

A nursery in Kyiv, a school in Kyiv Oblast, a university in Kharkiv and energy facilities in Poltava, Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia oblasts also sustained damage.

Amid the latest attacks, Zelenskyy called on US President Donald Trump to implement Senator Lindsey Graham's law on sanctions against Russia and those providing financial support for its war.

He also called on António Costa, the President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, to impose additional European sanctions.

Quote: "If the Russians have chosen to make their strikes even more brutal, the world must choose stronger responses to keep the war from spreading further."

More details: Zelenskyy also said Russian oligarchs should not be removed from existing sanctions lists and called for further restrictions on trade with Russia.
