Zelenskyy: Russians damage Saudi Arabian ambassador’s residence
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Russian attacks on Kyiv damaged a building used as the residence of the ambassador of Saudi Arabia, as well as two kindergartens, two schools, warehouses and communications facilities.

Anywhere in the world, this choice of targets would be called by one word – terrorism. Russia has no military objective whatsoever in doing this – it is purely an attempt to break people and inflict as much harm as possible on our society. Tragically, there are people killed… My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured.
Overall, since yesterday, the Russians have used 277 attack drones of various types, 155 of them jet-powered.
Among the damaged sites is also a building used as the residence of the Saudi Arabian ambassador."
Background:
- A man was killed in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district in a Russian drone attack on the night of 26-27 September, with fires breaking out in two non-residential buildings.
- Three people were injured in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, including two 16-year-olds. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that Russian forces struck a data centre in Kyiv twice on the morning of 27 September.
- During the day, a Russian UAV hit a four-storey office building in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district.
- Later, a Russian jet drone hit a multi-storey residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, injuring a woman. Consequences of the attacks were also recorded in other districts of the capital.
