3rd Army Corps shows video of ground robots armed with grenade launchers attacking Russian positions

Soldiers from the NC13 unmanned ground systems strike unit have modernised ground kamikaze drones and deployed a novel engagement tactic during the 3rd Army Corps' Operation Vivaldi.

Quote: "The unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) equipped with two Bullspike grenade launchers attacked the Russians at their positions, after which they detonated directly inside the shelters of the Russians. The occupiers believed they were being attacked by an entire assault team. In reality, they were being wiped out by the 3rd Army Corps' robots."

Details: The corps also released a video demonstrating the grenade launcher-equipped UGVs in action.

They explain that the UGVs perform three tasks simultaneously: delivering strikes, exerting psychological pressure and clearing positions.

"Most importantly, this is done without any risk to our infantry," the corps added.

It is noted that no one in military history has ever applied such a tactic before. The robots were controlled remotely by operators from a safe shelter tens of kilometres away from the line of contact.

Background: Recently, the 3rd Army Corps reported that troops air-dropped UGVs behind Russian lines during an Operation Vivaldi operation in northern Donetsk Oblast. This manoeuvre helped the defence forces liberate two villages and clear another.
