Russian attacks cause power outages in eight Ukrainian regions

As of this morning, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts are without electricity as a result of hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure.

Details: Repair work is already underway wherever the security situation allows.

In addition, 11 settlements in Poltava and Sumy oblasts remain without electricity due to adverse weather conditions.

No scheduled power outages are expected.

Ukrenergo is asking consumers to shift energy-intensive activities today to the period when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently – from 11:00 to 15:00.

In addition, Ukrenergo recommends avoiding the simultaneous use of several high-power electrical appliances during the evening hours – from 17:00 to 22:00 – to prevent overloads and disruptions to the power system.

Background: On the night of 27-28 September, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 165 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones, 79 of which were jet-powered, as well as Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoy drones.
