A demonstration in support of the residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky in Kherson Oblast, aiming to draw the international community's attention to the severe humanitarian disaster unfolding in the city, took place in Berlin on 28 September.

Details: The demonstration, held under the slogan "Stop the Russian occupation of Oleshky" was organised by the Ukrainian civil movement Vitsche Berlin. Participants marched through central Berlin from the City Hall (Rotes Rathaus) to the Russian Embassy.
Demonstrators carried placards calling for humanitarian aid and safe evacuation routes for the residents of Oleshky. The protesters also urged the German government and the international community to step up pressure on Russia to secure access to the people remaining under occupation.
Furthermore, during the march, the demonstrators highlighted the critical humanitarian situation in Oleshky and surrounding settlements. Residents are facing critical shortages of food, drinking water and medicine, as Russian forces block humanitarian shipments and prevent civilian evacuations.
