Kyiv returns to scheduled power outages

Kyiv is returning to scheduled power outages following an order from Ukrenergo, Ukraine's national energy company.

Details: The energy company added that residents can check the outage schedule for their address via the DTEK chatbot, the company's website, or the Kyiv Digital app.

Background:

• Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi reported that Russia had returned to massive strikes on energy infrastructure overnight on 29-30 September.
• On the evening of 30 September, emergency power outages were rolled out in Kyiv on Ukrenergo's orders. Later, emergency power cuts were introduced in three other oblasts.
• Due to the emergency power cuts, overground electric-powered public transport has been temporarily suspended in two districts of the Ukrainian capital.
• DTEK has published detailed power outage schedules for Kyiv Oblast for 30 September.
