Russians destroy equipment at Parkovyi data centre in Kyiv

The Parkovyi data centre site in Kyiv has sustained critical damage as a result of Russian strikes, making it impossible to restore services there.

Details: Parkovyi is a Ukrainian data centre that provides secure cloud services and server hosting for organisations.
"Most importantly, our employees are safe, and our clients' data have been deployed at backup sites in the EU," the company said.
Background:
- On 23 September, a data centre in Kyiv housing key equipment belonging to internet service provider UTELS was damaged in a Russian attack.
- The attack also caused disruptions to the Fex.net cloud service.
- On 24 September, following a Russian attack on Kyiv, internet service providers Domonet, Kievnet and Faust reported infrastructure damage and internet outages.
- On the same day, Russia destroyed a data centre hosting infrastructure belonging to hosting provider MiroHost. The company is currently unable to say when its services will be restored.
- On 25 September, a data centre operated by Datagroup was damaged in a Russian attack.
- Kyivstar has fully restored operations at a data centre whose equipment was damaged in Russian attacks on 11 September.
- Amid Russian attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure, the government allocated UAH 518.3 million (about US$12.5 million) from the reserve fund to strengthen backup information systems used by government agencies.
