Kyiv closes Pivdennyi and Paton bridges after Russian attack, restricts traffic on Metro Bridge

Kyiv has closed the Pivdennyi and Paton bridges in both directions, while traffic on the Metro Bridge is restricted towards the right bank following the Russian attack on the night of 1-2 October. Several bus and trolleybus routes have been changed as a result.

Update: Klitschko, citing information from law enforcement agencies, confirmed that the Pivdennyi Bridge is completely closed to traffic in both directions.
Quote: "The Pivdennyi Bridge is completely closed to traffic in both directions.
Traffic has been partially restricted to a single lane on the Metro Bridge towards the right bank.
The Paton Bridge is completely closed to traffic towards the left bank."
Details: Earlier, Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the Pivdennyi Bridge and Paton Bridge were closed in both directions, whilst the Metro Bridge was closed towards the right bank.
The restrictions are temporary. Kyivpastrans, a Kyiv transport company, is asking passengers to take the changes into account when planning their journeys.
Background:
- Russian forces hit Kyiv's Pivdennyi Bridge again on the night of 1-2 October. A 25-storey residential building was also damaged in the Darnytskyi district, with information about casualties still being confirmed.
- Debris damaged windows in a non-residential building and several cars in the Holosiivskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko, reported that no casualties or fires had been recorded there.
