The New York Times notes that Ukrainian officials have privately expressed concern that the country has limited contingency plans for major disruptions to its water supply.

Background: According to an approved Russian plan reportedly intercepted by Ukraine, Russia plans to cut Ukrainian nuclear power plants off from the power grid during its winter attacks by striking targets within a kilometre of the plants, as well as carrying out large-scale attacks on water supply systems.
