Hackers attack major Ukrainian supermarket chain: data of 7.9 million clients at risk

The Datasuckers hacker group has claimed to have breached the official website and application of ATB, a major Ukrainian supermarket chain. The platforms are currently experiencing disruptions, and a placeholder page demanding US$400,000 in ransom is displayed intermittently. ATB has commented on the cyberattack.

Quote from Demchenko: "Indeed, hackers are attacking the company's resources. No personal data has been compromised because we do not store it on these resources. The attack poses no danger."

Details: The attackers claim to have gained access to the data of 7.9 million clients, including phone numbers, email addresses, names, physical addresses, password hashes, records for 127,265 employees containing identification details and 50,300 suppliers containing tax and contact information.

The page also displays a two-hour countdown to payment of US$400,000 in Bitcoin or USDT, although the timer initially showed the wrong time. The hackers say they will release all the information they obtained if the payment is not made.
