Background:
- The Palanka-Maiaky-Udobne border crossing point was temporarily closed earlier today after a projectile fired during a Russian attack on Ukrainian infrastructure ricocheted, hitting a bus and a dispatcher's booth. As a result of the incident, the vehicle was damaged and a border guard sustained minor injuries.
- On Saturday 3 October, Moldova's national airspace monitoring system detected several unmanned aerial vehicles. The National Army's Air Operations Service reported that five UAVs entered Moldova's airspace between 07:45 and 08:00.
- Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatîi later clarified that the incident involved three missiles and two drones, debris from which fell in four districts of the country.
- The Moldovan Defence Ministry subsequently reported a sixth unauthorised entry into its airspace amid a massive morning Russian attack on Ukraine.
