"In particular, the number of strikes at ranges of more than 20 km exceeded 11,000 for the first time in September. The number of strikes at ranges of more than 50 km also reached a record high. The largest number of these strikes took place along the Mariupol-Crimea logistics route," the ministry said.

The number of Russian military personnel hit also remained high, with 33,087 such strikes confirmed in September. Higher figures under the programme were recorded only in March and April 2026.

"In September, the enemy continued to change its tactics for aerial attacks. Despite an increase in the number of jet-powered UAVs launched, Ukrainian forces shot down 28% more Shahed-type drones than a month earlier," the Defence Ministry added.

The Defence Ministry stressed that all the results were recorded on video in the Delta combat system and verified by the Brave1 defence innovation cluster.

Background: In August 2026, meanwhile, the defence forces destroyed the largest number of Russian copter-type drones recorded since the e-points programme began. Ukrainian forces hit almost 24,000 such UAVs over the course of the month.
