Damaged section of Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv repaired after Russian strike

The section of the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge damaged in an attack on 4 October has been rebuilt.

Quote: "Experts from the Kyivavtoshliakhmist utility company have repaired the section of the Pivnichnyi Bridge that was damaged as a result of the attack on 4 October. On the damaged section, they have:

• rebuilt the bridge structure and the road surface;
• reinforced the damaged base of the roadway;
• covered it with a special metal plate;
• repaired the asphalt concrete pavement."

Details: Bridge builders have also repaired the damaged structural elements that connect its parts and ensure the bridge's strength and stability.

Background:

• On 3 October, a Russian jet-powered drone struck the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv, which connects the right and left banks of the Dnipro River.
• Two people were injured as a result of the strike on the Pivnichnyi Bridge.
• On the morning of 4 October, the Russians attacked the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv again.
