US President Donald Trump has once again blamed Ukrainian strikes on Russia's oil refining industry for rising fuel prices.

Quote: "What's driving up Gasoline is no longer the Strait of Hormuz, because Record Numbers of Barrels are coming out now on an almost daily basis, but the word, 'Refineries,' where Russia's are being blown up by Ukraine."
Details: Trump also blamed the Democratic Party for US oil refineries closing in blue states. These states are called "blue" because their voters consistently support the Democratic Party in elections.
Background:
- In late September, Trump said he had asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to slow down strikes on Russian oil refineries and that Zelenskyy had supposedly agreed.
- On 22 September, Zelenskyy said there were no attempts during closed-door talks with Trump to force Kyiv to unilaterally stop attacks on oil refineries and other facilities of this kind.
- On 13 September, Trump called on Zelenskyy to stop strikes on Russian diesel fuel facilities, claiming that the attacks were causing shortages.
