Russian forces have struck a transport infrastructure facility in the city of Zaporizhzhia on the night of 6-7 October.

Quote: "The Russians attacked a transport infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia. Temporary traffic restrictions may be introduced on some roads as a result of the attack. Take this into account when travelling and follow official information."
Background:
- On the afternoon of 6 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that, according to intelligence, the Russians were preparing a new large-scale combined attack on Ukraine.
- In the evening and overnight, Ukraine's Air Force reported the take-off of nine Tu-160 and Tu-95 strategic bombers from air bases in Russia.
- At around 03:09, the Russians attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles. Hits were recorded in Kyiv's Podilskyi and Obolonskyi districts, while an industrial facility was damaged in Dnipro.
- In the early morning, the Russians began another wave of a large-scale attack, launching cruise missiles. Russian missiles were detected in several areas, including near Zaporizhzhia.
