Quote: "A facility belonging to the Barmin Research Institute of Launch Systems, a branch of the Centre for the Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities, was struck near the settlement of Dalneye Konstantinovo-5 in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast."

Details: The General Staff noted that the сentre is involved in the development, maintenance and operation of launch facilities, fuelling equipment and control systems for missiles.

The defence forces also struck the Redkino Experimental Plant near the settlement of Redkino in Tver Oblast. The plant is involved in the Russian military-industrial complex's production chains. It manufactures components of Decilin-M fuel for Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel fuel and aviation gas. The plant is subject to international sanctions.

"In addition, to weaken the enemy's military-industrial complex's capacity to produce explosives and rocket fuel, the Centre for the Disposal of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles was struck near the settlement of Surovatikha in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast," the General Staff added.

It stressed that strikes on such facilities constitute Ukraine's exercise of its inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter and are aimed at reducing the military, economic and technological potential of the aggressor state.

Background: The General Staff previously reported that the defence forces struck the Omsk Oil Refinery, located more than 2,500 km from Ukraine's state border, on the afternoon of 8 October. This was the second attack on the facility since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
