Quote: "As of now, the Defence Ministry is in contact with the United States, SpaceX and NATO partners, collecting data from all units, while backup communication channels are being checked and established."
Details: The Defence Ministry confirmed that SpaceX unilaterally restricted the operation of Starshield terminals (the "military package") while moving on the night of 13-14 October, without prior warning to Ukraine's defence forces.
A speed limit of 160 km/h has now been established. When a vehicle exceeds this threshold, the terminal loses its connection.
This complicates UAV missions, particularly those involving interceptors and mid-range drones, and reduces capabilities for frontline logistics, reconnaissance and signal relaying.
Background: Earlier, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to the president and radio technology expert, reported changes to Starlink's operation.
