Details: In the context of Le Pen's statement, Zelenskyy pointed out that the experience of the Ukrainian army in technological terms is very important for partners, particularly for the UK, the US and France.
Quote: "And I think French industry only can win with these technologies, with this co-operation and co-production. And it's not to pay Ukraine for today. We are not in the first and the second year of the war. Yes, it is to help Ukraine be strong and Ukraine will give back security for somebody's experience."
Details: Zelenskyy added that should Le Pen be elected president, she will need to ensure that she has the most powerful European system that works.
Background:
- Le Pen has previously said that France could no longer provide Ukraine with the same level of assistance as at present, due to the deterioration of its own financial situation. She added that French agriculture would lose out if Ukraine joined the EU.
- As is known, ahead of the 2027 presidential election in France, Marine Le Pen leads the polls by a significant margin over her competitors.
