One of the protesters told Ukrainska Pravda's correspondent that Klitschko should resign because he has lost control of the situation in the city. In his view, the city should be headed by the secretary of Kyiv City Council.

People with opposing views are also attending the protest. One woman is holding a placard reading: "Zelenskyy, stop. Hands off Klitschko." She believes that Zelenskyy has no right to remove Klitschko from office and that the mayor can only step down after an election.
